Khargosht was founded in Rawalpindi with a single vision: to introduce rabbit meat to Pakistani households as a healthier, affordable alternative to chicken and beef. At a time when rabbit farming was virtually unknown in Pakistan, our founder M. Irfan Ajiz began educating families, farmers, and communities about the nutritional and economic potential of rabbit farming. The early years were about building trust and awareness from scratch.
As demand grew, Khargosht invested in proper farm infrastructure — scientifically managed breeding systems, controlled nutrition programs, and hygienic processing facilities. We introduced meat breeds like New Zealand White and California White to Pakistan, trained dozens of farmers, and established supply chains that did not previously exist. Every step was pioneering because we had no local precedent to follow.
Khargosht launched Pakistan's first online rabbit meat store, making it possible to order fresh, vacuum-packed rabbit meat via WhatsApp and have it delivered to your door. We expanded home delivery to Lahore, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, and Karachi, with nationwide cargo services for other cities. Orders rolled in from Multan, Faisalabad, Peshawar, and beyond — proving the demand was real and nationwide.
Our founder authored "Khargosh Bani" — Pakistan's first published Urdu guide on professional rabbit farming, educating thousands of aspiring entrepreneurs.
